HPT SERIES · CONFIGURABLE PUMP PACKAGE

Plug and Spray Unit

A defined high-pressure water package for your spray, rinsing or humidification system.

Combine an HPT pump with the motor, coupling, mounting and controls your application needs. Specify the water quality, nozzle demand and operating cycle so the proposed unit has a clear scope and interface.

DEFINE THE SUPPLY SCOPE

Build around the pump duty

A Plug and Spray Unit brings the main pumping components together for integration into a spray system. Final equipment, materials and settings are confirmed in the project proposal.

01

Pump & drive

HPT Series axial piston pump, electric motor, compatible coupling and bell housing. Select the motor and speed range against the required hydraulic duty.

02

Mounting & connections

Define the frame or base, installation envelope, inlet and discharge connections, flexible connections and access for inspection.

03

Instrumentation & protection

Specify pressure indication, inlet monitoring, relief protection, temperature monitoring and the controls required by the application.

Package elementWhat to define in the proposal
Water inletSupply pressure and flow, isolation, filtration, pressure indication and low-inlet-pressure interlock.
High-pressure circuitOperating and design pressure, discharge gauge or transmitter, relief arrangement, check valves and discharge connections.
Electric driveMotor power, voltage, frequency, mounting, speed range and starting method.
Control interfaceLocal start/stop, remote enable, speed or pressure setpoint, status feedback and fault handling.
Spray distributionNozzle pressure, total flow, active zones, shutoff sequence, piping losses and pressure transients.
Handover documentsAgree the layout drawing, connection schedule, component list, control description and acceptance checks.

MATCH CONTROL TO DEMAND

Constant speed or variable speed

Constant-speed configuration

For a defined operating duty with a matched nozzle demand. Specify how pressure is controlled, how the system unloads or stops, and how the pump is protected when downstream valves close.

Variable-speed configuration

For applications that need adjustable output. Define speed control or pressure feedback, the allowed pump speed range and the response when spray zones change. A VFD operates within the selected pump and motor limits.

Pressure protection is part of the system. The relief setting, bypass arrangement and valve sequence must be matched to the pump, piping and nozzles. Final unit ratings are determined by the selected components and approved duty.

WATER QUALITY SHAPES THE CONFIGURATION

Specify the application first

Pure-water spray & rinsing

Define the cleaning process, wetted-material requirements, filtration, piping and water acceptance limits. Semiconductor UPW duties require an application-specific review of the entire water path.

Humidification & adiabatic cooling

Provide the water treatment specification, required atomization pressure, nozzle flow and number of zones. Include water hygiene, drainage and shutdown requirements in the system design.

A standard spray-package layout does not by itself establish semiconductor-grade water quality. For UPW service, agree resistivity or conductivity, particles, TOC, metal-ion limits and the required verification method before specifying the wetted components.

Frequently asked questions

What does “Plug and Spray” include?

The name describes a packaged approach to high-pressure spray supply. The quotation identifies the actual pump, drive, mounting, instrumentation and controls included. Water treatment, nozzle distribution, electrical connections and site commissioning are agreed as part of the project scope.

What pressure and flow can the unit provide?

These depend on the selected HPT pump, shaft speed, motor and system components. HPT pump pressure limits reach 100 barg for the models listed on the pump page, with HPT 50 limited to 80 barg. The final unit rating is confirmed for the specified configuration.

Can the unit serve several spray zones?

Provide the number of zones, simultaneous demand and valve operating sequence. The pump selection, control method and pressure protection are reviewed together for those operating conditions.
