High-Pressure Ultrapure Water Pumps (HPT Series): Cost, Lead Time and Repeat Supply

For semiconductor equipment, the pump price is only part of the purchase. An existing installation may already have a suitable motor, while a new machine may need a complete high-pressure ultrapure water supply module. Rohre can supply high-pressure ultrapure water pumps (HPT Series) separately or configure the assembly around your duty and existing equipment.

When you use your own motor, we check the pump’s operating parameters and mechanical interface against its specifications. We can supply a matching coupling and bell housing if required. For a new assembly, the quotation can include the motor, drive and agreed connection accessories.

A cost-driven decision already made in semiconductor equipment

A long-term customer in semiconductor equipment manufacturing began using Rohre HPT high-pressure ultrapure-water pumps in its wafer-cleaning machines in 2025. The manufacturer was looking for a more economical pump sourcing option to address cost pressure. HPT pumps became part of our ongoing cooperation with that customer.

For an OEM considering a similar purchasing decision, this is a useful starting point: Rohre has an existing application in this equipment sector, and the discussion can move directly to the supply configuration your team needs. You can read about this customer and separate project configurations in our semiconductor pump applications.

The commercial comparison should make the proposed saving understandable. Compare the same duty, quantity and included components, then separate the first installation expenses from the cost of repeat purchases.

Compare the package you will receive

A pump-only quotation and a quotation including the drive assembly answer different purchasing needs. Rohre can quote the pump separately or discuss a High-Pressure Ultrapure Water Supply Module with the motor, drive, coupling, bell housing, mounting and agreed pump-side accessories.

For an existing installation, keeping suitable components can help control the replacement budget. The proposal should identify which parts can stay and which need adapting before you count those savings. Our Danfoss replacement guide explains the hydraulic and mechanical comparison.

For new equipment, buying an agreed assembly gives your team one defined pump-side scope to review. It also makes the costs of the connections, mounting and drive visible early in the purchasing discussion.

Cost item What to compare between proposals Why it matters to your purchase
Pump and duty Selected model, required flow and pressure, operating range and quantity The alternatives must meet the same equipment requirement.
Motor and drive Supplied models and electrical options, or the components you will retain A lower pump price may cover less of the assembly.
Mechanical and water connections Coupling, bell housing, mounting, adapters and specified high-pressure hose These items affect what your workshop still needs to buy or make.
First-build work Interface adaptation, integration and agreed acceptance work Keep these expenses separate from repeat-unit pricing.
Delivery basis Packing, transport, taxes where applicable, and the named delivery point A factory-ready price and a delivered price cover different obligations.
Service provision Quoted spares and agreed support scope This shows what is included after the initial purchase.

For the first order, the relevant cost is the quoted assembly plus the necessary items outside its scope, adaptation, agreed acceptance work and delivery charges. Separating these one-time expenses from repeat-unit costs makes the comparison useful for both the first machine and subsequent production.

A pump-module configuration from semiconductor equipment

A separate HPT 12.5 semiconductor-equipment project specified a normal operating duty of 16 L/min at 10 MPa, with continuous operation and variable-speed flow control. Its configuration included a 7.5 kW motor, a Siemens SINAMICS V20 drive, coupling, bell housing and adapter connections. The project also listed 20 L/min as a maximum design flow target.

That configuration illustrates why the package scope belongs beside the pump price. The motor, drive and connection arrangement are part of the purchasing decision. For another machine, we would review its operating range and electrical requirements before proposing the assembly.

Rohre’s configurable module supply can extend through the agreed inlet and outlet fittings and high-pressure hoses. The equipment OEM supplies the downstream nozzles, spray distribution and cleaning-machine functions. Defining this handover point makes the quotation easier to compare and keeps the integration responsibilities clear.

Lead time and urgent orders

Our quoted lead time starts once your order is placed, the drawings are approved and we have received your deposit payment.

If you need an earlier delivery, we can discuss expedited production and agree a revised schedule with you.

Give the next order a clear specification

A successful first build gives the next purchase a useful reference. Retain the approved pump model, component list, assembly drawing and connection arrangement with the order record. When ordering again, identify that configuration and any requested changes.

For service support, distinguish a replacement pump from a complete spare assembly. They have different costs and installation requirements. Discuss the parts your team expects to service, the information needed to identify them and the support required from Rohre. Where repeat demand is foreseeable, it is useful to include it in the supply discussion rather than treating each enquiry as an unrelated first order.

Discuss your pump or module requirement

Send us your existing specification or installation drawing, the supply scope you need and your first-unit requirement. If repeat orders are planned, include that demand so we can discuss configuration, quotation and delivery together. Contact Rohre about an ultrapure water pump or supply module.
